As our CEO, James works closely with our agents, marketing and customer success teams to ensure that Resolute delivers the best protest experience for our customers. Prior to Resolute, James is a second time CEO, having previous founded a venture backed eCommerce company, which grew from $0 - 8M of revenue in its first year. James' early career was spent investing in and advising high growth companies across Silver Lake and Credit Suisse.

Ed Buser is Resolute's President and overseas growth and partnership opportunities. Prior to joining the team, Ed spent over a decade in management consulting including Berkeley Research Group and Ankura, helping advise CFO and CEO scale teams, processes and unlock growth
Fed Marchese
CFO
Fed Marchese is Resolute’s CFO and oversees finance operations and Pangea development for Resolute. Prior to Resolute, Fed spent a decade investing and advising high growth software and tech enabled services companies at TCV, Bridgepoint, and Credit Suisse.
Chase Koska
COO & Head of Commercial
Chase Koska has 17 years of experience in property tax consulting, leading commercial operations nationwide and previously handling thousands of residential and commercial appeals early in his career. Before joining Resolute, he worked in financial planning and investment services. Today, he focuses on strategy, operations, and team development, believing that when employees are supported and empowered, clients ultimately benefit from stronger service and better results.

Alex Cothran
Residential Manager
Alex spent his childhood in the Charleston area of South Carolina. He graduated from Hillsdale College with a Bachelor's in History, where he routinely made fun of people that regularly used Microsoft Excel. A year later he moved here to the Promised Land. Alex joined Resolute in 2016 as a Residential Agent in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and one of the first full-time employees at the company. He is responsible for developing and implementing many of Resolute's quality control, training, and optimization processes, and in a hilarious twist of fate has used Microsoft Excel to do the majority of it. Alex now brings his years of experience in Property Tax Protest negotiation to bear in leading Resolute's Residential Division. Alex lives in the Dallas area with his wife and their three children. Outside of work Alex is active in his church, and enjoys a cigar on the porch in the evening and the occasional hunting trip once protest season ends.

Brian Stiles
Senior Software Architect
Brian Stiles grew up north of the Dallas, TX metroplex. He graduated from UT-Dallas in 2011, majoring in Software Engineering and minoring in Business Administration. After graduation, he worked as a software engineer for a company that specializes in solutions for small businesses. In 2018, he began working with the software team at Resolute. He now leads the software team at Resolute and enjoys building solutions that help our clients and our employees. Brian lives in Austin, TX and spends his time with family, friends, traveling, and staying active.
Donald Cox
Developer
Donald Cox is a developer on the software team at Resolute. Since joining in 2024, he's helped build and maintain systems that support internal teams and improve the digital experience for clients. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, and has a passion for motorsports.
Spencer Wallace
Software Engineer
Spencer went to school at the University of Lethbridge where he received a dual degree for Business Management and Computer Science. After his graduation in 2012, he has worked as a business analyst for Alberta Infrastructure in the business improvement department. He then moved back to his hometown where he was a software engineer for the largest online wedding supply retailer. Since 2019, he has been with the software team at Resolute helping to improve the system that our team uses to maximize our clients' savings. When he isn't programming he is usually making food for his family, longboarding with his dog, or mountain biking with friends.
Lucas Kalsovik
Data Manager
Lucas Kalsovik graduated from Univel in western Paraná, Brazil, in 2016 with a degree in Systems Analysis and Development. After graduation, he worked as a software engineer developing solutions for various industries before relocating to Florianópolis. Lucas serves as Data Manager at Resolute, where he uses his software engineering skills and works with the team to improve the company’s data pipelines.
